Lamont met Alyssa at 13 and stood beside both her and her mother, Lori, through difficult family circumstances. She earned an associate degree before high school graduation, built a successful career, and returned as a HOPE volunteer mentor. Lori went back to school, became an RN, bought a home, and rebuilt her independence.

When Hailey was told construction was a man's job, Lamont invited three successful women in the industry to speak with her and 17 other female trade students. Hailey stayed. Today, she is a shop foreman who helps other students move forward.

Porter is the young entrepreneur behind Lawn Legends and Young Legends Business Academy. Lamont has mentored him around business, hired him for lawn work, referred him to others, and helped opportunity meet effort.
