Stories of Progress
Seth · HOPE Youth President
This year tested Seth in ways most people never saw. During one of the hardest seasons of his life, HOPE supporter and friend Lawrence Lopez from DWS gave Seth a challenge coin. It wasn't simply a gift. It represented a challenge: keep moving forward, keep showing up, and become the kind of leader other young people could depend on.
Seth accepted it.
He stepped into leadership as HOPE's Youth President, helped lead HOPE groups, and became someone other young people could look to.
In September 2026, Seth graduated and began the next chapter of his career as a Toyota engineer.
The difficult season didn't disappear. Seth decided it wouldn't get the final word.
Sometimes HOPE looks like someone believing in you. Sometimes it looks like someone challenging you to believe in yourself.
One person can change the moment.
Lawrence Lopez didn't need a formal program to make an impact. He saw Seth, challenged him, and gave him a physical reminder that someone believed he was capable of more.

How HOPE Helps
Young people rarely need just one thing. They need trusted relationships, practical preparation, real resources, and meaningful opportunities that help them move forward.

Mentorship, accountability, trusted adults, and the consistency to keep going.
Someone in your corner.

Financial literacy, career skills, communication, education, and independent living.
Confidence grows here.

Connections to food, transportation, work clothing, certifications, and urgent needs.
Remove the barrier.

Jobs, internships, scholarships, employers, entrepreneurship, and meaningful exposure.
Open the door.
Available today
HOPE is early in its life as an organization. Its model grows from Lamont Hampton's many years of mentoring and helping hundreds of young people find resources, finish training, and connect with opportunity.

How support works
The process stays human, practical, and built around follow through.
The outcome is bigger than one solved problem.
The goal is independence and stability, with relationships that endure and a future where today's young person can return as a mentor, employer, donor, or volunteer.
Future vision, not a current service
HOPE envisions a Youth & Young Adult Center and future transitional housing for qualifying young adults. The building and housing program do not currently exist.
